Hefei International Land Port Company dispatched the 100th China Railway Express block train of 2019 with high efficiency and quality

On April 11, when press corps sent by Kazakhstan Government just arrived at Hefei International Land Port Co. Ltd, the 100th Hefei-Europe Freight Train of 2019, operated by the company and loaded with $2.8 million worth of washing machines, baby carriages and solar cell modules, departed from Hefeibei Railway Station to Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan.
As the cargo train launched, a new record for Hefei International Land Port Company was set. With the corporation of customs and local railway department, in 2019 Hefei-Europe Block Trains completed 100 departure trips in only 101 days, while last year it took 222 days to achieve the same goal. In accordance with requirements, decisions and guiding principles of the Party Committee and City Government, state-owned Hefei International Land Port Company identifies its clients as companies in Hefei and other cities with potential for economic development in Anhui Province. The company has made great efforts in defining market orientation and analysing market strategies, to which its staged success should be attributed.
Looking back on the past few months, Hefei International Land Port Company has made “Two Breakthroughs” and “Five Growths”, while its ranking is steadily moving up. From January 27 to February 3, 2019, the Land Port Company launched 12 departure trips in only 8 days, marking the first breakthrough of this year. With further efforts the second breakthrough was achieved on March 6: in a single day from Hefeibei Station departed four freight trains.
The substantial successes achieved by Hefei International Land Port Company in the first three months of 2019 can be precisely concluded as “Five Growths”. First, the amount of freight transported by China Railway Express from Hefei has impressively increased by 247.22%, and types of goods have become more devised, ranging from clothing and household appliances to machinery, solar photovoltaic and other high-tech goods with high added value.
The second is the surge of import and export volume. From January to April 11, 2019, the trade volume between Hefei and Europe has increased by 163.46% year on year, and Anhui's goods trade volume increased by 172.28% year on year. The rising of China-Europe Railway Express in Hefei has boosted the development of enterprises and cities along the rail route, and is bringing a new driving force to the open economy of Anhui Province.
The number of rail routes also met a growth. In 2019, six new lines were put into service by Hefei International Land Port Company, thus expanded China Railway Express in scope and directly promoted the interaction between Anhui Province and other parts of the world.
Fourth, the popularity of China Railway Express was gradually enhanced. The express is attracting a growing number of companies both in Anhui and other provinces. Compared with statistics of 2018, the number of enterprises choosing China-Europe freight train service has risen by more than 40.
The fifth is the growth of full-load and heavy-load rates. In 2019, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd proposed that each China-Europe freight train should be loaded with no less than 41 containers, and Hefei International Land Port Company exceeded this relatively high standard with 47.43 containers per train as an average number. Moreover, the average container weight of Hefei's China Railway Express hit 12.51 tons, increasing by 20.17% year on year, which also exceeded the average level.
In the future, Hefei International Land Port will concentrate all efforts to improve the efficiency and service quality of Hefei's China Railway Express, widen logistics channels, establish a more competitive international brand, and help Anhui Province become an important transportation hub and land port.
