Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Municipal Party Committee, Song Guoquan, announced the 300th train departure of Hefei China-Europe Express in 2019

On the morning of September 27th, the departure ceremony of the 300th Hefei China-Europe Express train was held at the logistics base of Hefei North Station Cargo Center. Song Guoquan, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, announced the departure. Zhu Ce, deputy mayor of the municipal government, made a welcome speech. Ms. Ekaterina Ershova , director of Quality Management of RTSB Group in China, Zhao Lijian, deputy General Manager of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd., Lv Zhongyang, deputy General Manager of China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., and Ding Yihong, deputy Comissioner of Hefei Customs, delivered speeches in turn. Sun Donghai, deputy secretary general of the provincial government and director of the Provincial Government Development Research Center, Zheng Bin, deputy inspector of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Xia Yan, member of the Party Committee of the Provincial Natural Resources Department, Ma Junlin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Post Group, Anhui Provincial Post Office, Bao Lixia, deputy director of the Provincial Postal Administration, Lu Jun, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Hefei New Station High-tech Zone and director of the Administrative Committee, and Wang Weiming, deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government attended the ceremony. Shen Xiaogen, member of the Party Committee, director and deputy general manager of the municipal  Industrial Investment Group, introduced the development of Hefei' China-Europe Express block trains, and Yuan Fei, deputy secretary of Party Committee, director and general manager of the municipal Industrial Investment Group, presided over the ceremony.

In his speech, Deputy Mayor Zhu Ce pointed out that the China-Europe Express as a landmark achievement of the “Belt and Road Initiative” has received wide response from the world. Since its opening in 2014, Hefei China-Europe Express has achieved a rapid development reaching a new level every year, especially in recent years, through high-level integration into national planning, high-level construction of Land Port park, high-quality organization of train operations, the overall strength of Hefei China-Europe Express ranks now in the “first phalanx” nationally, and the main high-quality indicators such as heavy load rate, single train cargo value, and year-on-year growth rate are among the best in the country. The achievement made is inseparable from the deep concern of the provincial and municipal leaders, the strong support of relevant customs, railway and provincial departments, and the active cooperation with trade partners from home and abroad. In the next step, Hefei will thoroughly implement the decision-making arrangements of the central and provincial Party committees and governments, strive to make Hefei China-Europe Express an important engine and shining business card for Anhui's opening to the outside world, and jointly promote the “One Belt, One Road” cooperation to go deep and steady in order to reach high quality development.

During the ceremony, Song Guoquan, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, unveiled the plate of newly established subsidiaries Hefei Land Port Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. and Hefei Land Port Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd., marking a new journey for the development of Hefei International Land Port’s business. The whole industrial chain will be newly upgraded, and the capability and level of service will achieve a new leap.

At the signing ceremony held later, Yong Fengshan, secretary of Party Committee and chairman of the municipal Industrial Investment Group and Hefei International Land Port together with  German Federal Railways (DB) and RTSB; Liu Jun, director and general manager of Hefei International Land Port together with Sinotrans Anhui Company, JAC Auto Group respectively signed a strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen the cooperation in “Belt and Road Initiative” and conduct comprehensive and in-depth cooperation to jointly promote the rapid development of China-Europe Express.

At 9:30 in the morning, Song Guoquan, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, announced the departure. Subsequently, Song Guoquan, Sun Donghai, Zhu Ce, Ding Yihong, Zhao Lijian, Lv Zhongyang, Zheng Bin, Xia Yan, Ma Junlin, Bao Lixia, Lu Jun jointly pushed the rod and started the block train. With a long train whistle, the 300th Hefei China-Europe Express train in 2019 departed from Hefei North Station. The freight train was loaded with made-in-Anhui photovoltaic, medical, automotive products and would arrive at Neuss, Germany via the Alataw Pass. This is another breakthrough made by Hefei International Land Port after shipping the 200th train on June 15th, which opened a new high-quality development journey for Hefei China-Europe Express.

Nearly 200 people from the Provincial Government Port Office, Luzhou Customs and other central departments in charge of the province and the relevant departments, the China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Cargo Department, Hefei Cargo Center and other railway departments, municipal bureaus of development, finance, business, state-owned assets, natural resources and other relevant departments directly subordinate to the city, New Station District High-tech Zone, Luyang District and other counties and districts, development zones, comprehensive bonded zones and other major open platforms, as well as domestic and foreign partners such as DB, Sinotrans, EPUSCM, Unitrans, JAC, Provincial Import and Export Corporation, Sungrow Power, JA Solar, Chery, Meiling and else enterprises, attended the ceremony.

At present, Hefei China-Europe Express is ranked 7th among the 62 cities in the country with China-Europe Express and 1st in the Yangtze River Delta region. In 2019, Hefei China-Europe Express completed the cargo of 26,000 containers weighing 360,000 tons and realized an import & export trade volume of 9.6 billion yuan. The number of Anhui local enterprises served, the amount of Anhui local enterprise containers, and the completed import & export volume increased respectively by 8 times, 10.3 times and 34.06 times compared with five years ago. Since its opening in 2014, the cumulative number of Hefei China-Europe Express trains has reached 647, with an import & export volume of 17.73 billion yuan.
