The FIRST One During Epidemic Period! Hefei International Land Port Launched Freight Train to Germany’s Neuss

The first regular train of Hefei China Railway Express during the epidemic period was launched on February 13 from Hefei North Railway Station. Carrying export PV inverter worth 0.73 million U.S. dollars, the train will travel for 15 days over 11126 km distance, and cross Kazakhstan, Republic of Belarus, Poland and Germany before reaching Neuss. The train’s departure is the signal of official work and production resumption of Hefei International Land Port, the company in charge of the freight operation.

During the epidemic, the company has undertaken the responsibility and established response mechanism in time so as to fight the epidemic and operate freight express at the same time. In order to provide a better service and promote work and production resumption in an orderly manner, the company has also cooperated with the railway and customs agencies intimately and effectively. By the time of February 13, 25 Hefei-Europe block trains were launched (13 for westbound, 10 for eastbound and 2 for Asian direction). The increasing number and frequency of freight trains in Hefei will provide transportation guarantee for enterprises in Yangse River Delta area.

Exerting its advantages in the process, the company actively contacts its partners in Hamburg, Duisburg and Helsinki to ensure the pick-up, declaration and storage can be finished in the shortest possible time. In accordance to changes caused by the epidemic, the company make appropriate adjustments and give solutions in time. Besides the normal operation, more attention has been paid to medical supplies and daily necessities for the citizens. A total of 7 trains (610 TEU), carrying X-ray machines, filter fabric, raw materials of bioplastics and materials of face mask, were launched by the company from January 24 to today.
