Lower Saxony, Germany, called the consulate in Hamburg to express its gratitude for the opening of the "Hefei-Port William" Central European train.

On February 15th, the Lantern Festival, Hefei land port received a congratulatory message from Dr. Bern Altug-Mann, Deputy Governor of Lower Saxony and Minister of Economy, Labor, Transportation and Digitalization, to Du Xiaohui, Consul General of Chinese Consulate in Hamburg. In his congratulatory message, he expressed his gratitude to Hefei land port for organizing the shipment of the Central European train "Hefei-Port William, Germany" and for its support and contribution to Sino-German trade and economic development.

On July 13th, 2021, Hefei land port opened the first China-Europe train that arrived in Port William, Germany, and successfully opened the first return trip in August, 2021. Up to now, Hefei land port has shipped 7 "Hefei-Port William Central European trains", with a cumulative shipment value of 41,048,600 US dollars. "Hefei-William Port Cross-border E-commerce Special Train" was selected as one of the top ten events in the construction of Anhui Free Trade Zone, which is another extension of the business model of "Hefei Central Europe Train Plus". The normal operation from Hefei to Port William has established a friendly provincial-continental relationship between the two sides, providing opportunities for cooperation and development between the two sides.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of friendly diplomatic relations between China and Germany, and Sino-German relations are one of the important bilateral relations in current international relations. In the future, Hefei land port will continue to stabilize the normal operation of the "Hefei-Port William" train between China and Europe, and continuously deepen bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
