500th train of the year, departing for Budapest!

On the afternoon of July 29, Beijing time, with a whistle blast, the 500th China-European Railway 2022 train loaded with 100TEU cargo slowly departed from Hefei North Station and will depart via Horgos Port to Budapest, Hungary, covering a total distance of 10,873 km and lasting 16-18 days.

The goods shipped by this train are solar modules, pusher motors, photovoltaic grid-connected inverters, etc., all local Anhui goods, with a value of up to 9817228.97 U.S. dollars, nearly ten million U.S. dollars. It is worth mentioning that this is a trip of three "new" trains, connecting the "new country" of Hungary, opening a new site in Budapest, opening up a new line of Hefei North - Horgos - Hungary (Budapest).

Hungary is one of the first European countries to sign a cooperation document with China on "One Belt, One Road", and is an important transportation hub in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as an important logistics hub and transit point in Europe. As the main political, commercial, transport and economic center and the largest city of Hungary, Budapest is an important logistics hub on the Silk Road Economic Belt.

The start of this train is another extension of Hefei China-European train in the European hinterland, which is conducive to further improving the level of opening up of Anhui, adding a new efficient, safe and fast international logistics channel for the export of goods from the Yangtze River Delta, while strongly promoting China-Hungary and China-Europe economic and trade exchanges, and injecting new momentum for the two countries to build the "Belt and Road".

Since its inception in 2014, the number of China-EU trains in Hefei has been growing, the source of goods has been enriched, and the coverage has been expanded. Up to now, the total number of shipments has exceeded 2,500, building an international logistics network that reaches 18 countries and 85 international node cities, which has become a gas pedal of outward economic development in Anhui and a golden channel for local goods to go abroad. Especially since 2022, Hefei China-European train has actively responded to the repeated epidemic, Russia-Ukraine conflict and other influences, the train has achieved counter-trend growth, as of the current train shipment, a total of 500 trains shipped in 2022, adding 2 countries and 22 stations.
