The Hefei International Land Port (Phase II) project has officially started construction

On the morning of February 27th, the mobilization meeting for the concentrated commencement of major projects in Luyang District, Hefei City in 2024 and the commencement of the Hefei International Land Port (Phase II) project was held at Hefei International Land Port. Vice Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Luo Yunfeng attended and announced the official start of the project. Zhang Quan, member of the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, delivered a speech.

The Hefei Land Port Project (Phase II) is one of the concentrated construction projects in Luyang District, with a total investment of about 1.4 billion yuan and an area of 449 acres. It will be constructed in two phases, with planned functions such as multimodal transportation area, bonded logistics area, customs supervision area, warehousing and distribution area, and comprehensive service area.

Before the mobilization meeting, Luo Yunfeng and his delegation visited the exhibition hall of Hefei Logistics Group. At the mobilization meeting, Jiang Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Industry and Investment Group, introduced the basic situation of the Land Port project, while Ding Shengli, Deputy General Manager of the Group, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Logistics Group, introduced relevant information.

The Hefei International Land Port Project is invested and constructed by Hefei Logistics Group, a subsidiary of Industrial Investment Group. It is an important support for the land port type national logistics hub and the fourth batch of national multimodal transportation demonstration projects in Hefei, and also a practical measure to implement the new development pattern of dual circulation.

After the completion of the project, additional services such as trade, warehousing, customs declaration, container leasing, and local short haul can be carried out, achieving self generating functions and forming efficient support for the collection and distribution of China Europe freight trains. The total annual freight volume will reach 82000 TEUs, helping to increase the shipping frequency of China Europe freight trains in Hefei by 10%. In the future, relying on international land port projects, we will strengthen connectivity with major logistics hub cities around the world, accelerate the integration of various transportation modes such as public transportation, rail transportation, water transportation, and air transportation, accelerate the construction of three-dimensional open channels, and help Hefei accelerate its construction into a nationally influential logistics hub city.
