A delegation from Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos visited Hefei International Dry Port.

On the morning of June 28th, Mr. Chamsamoun Sisak, Deputy Director General of the Department of Trade Promotion of Laos, and Mr. Ding Hele, General Manager of the International Department of Anhui Yishang Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and his entourage went to Hefei International Dry Port for a visit. Mr. Chen Feng, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Hefei International Dry Port, gave a warm reception.

At the symposium, the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on China-Laos exchanges, multimodal transportation business, import and export trade and e-commerce platform networking, and reached a consensus on strengthening logistics cooperation and boosting the high-quality development of China-Laos freight trains.

Mr. Chamsamoun Sisak introduced the responsibilities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos and said that the Lao government welcomed the new opportunities brought by the China-Laos freight train to Lao business and discussed the business development needs such as tapping the local high-quality sources of goods, cooperating in the construction of overseas warehouses, cooperation in multimodal transport business and the e-commerce freight train. He said that at present, there is still huge growth space for the volume of China-Laos freight train, and with the deepening cooperation between the two sides in the fields of multimodal transportation and supply chain, China-Laos freight train will surely become an important driver for the landing of international projects between the two countries.

Chen Feng expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Mr. Chamsamun Sisa and his delegation. He briefly introduced the industrial development direction and characteristics of Hefei City, the cargo structure and operational achievements of Hefei China-Laos Freight Train, the construction of land port base and the development direction of Hefei International Land Port. He said that as the trade volume between Anhui Province and RCEP member countries continues to strengthen, it will further promote the friendly exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between the two places.
