222 Days of Operation, Hefei International Land Port shipped 100 China-Europe Block Trains

On August 10th, the 100th China-Europe Block Train slowly left from Hefei North Station and passed through the Eurasian Continental Bridge railway to the European manufacturing center ---- Hamburg, Germany. After 222 days of operation, Hefei China-Europe Block Trains dispatched a total of 9226 TEUs which includes: China-Europe Block Train (WB to Central Asia) a total of 23 trains, 2212 TEUs; China-Europe Block Train (WB to Europe) a total of 56 trains, 5232 TEUs; China-Europe Block Train (EB from Europe) a total of 21 trains, 891 TEUs valuing 58.378 million US dollars at a cargo weight of 5991.42 tons. The main import and export goods are automobiles, home appliances, textiles, electronics, machinery and fast moving consumer goods and the annual shipping tasks issued by the municipal government are completed 143 days in advance.

In accordance with the decisions and arrangements made by the municipal Party committee and government, in November 2017, Hefei Industrial Investment Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. invested 500 million RMB to establish “Hefei International Land Port Development Co., Ltd.” (hereinafter referred to as Hefei International Land Port). On January 1st, 2018, Hefei International Land Port took over the operation and management of Hefei China-Europe Block Train. From March onwards, Hefei China-Europe Block Train (WB) will dispatch twice a week. From April onwards, the China-Europe Block Train (EB) will dispatch once a week and keep a normalized and stable operation.
